I don’t really have a favorite color…I have several. Do you relate? Honest, how can you pick just *one* from all the glorious hues? Right now I’m loving yellow, peach, and aqua/sky blue (think tropical ocean blue). Together, those three are ADORABLE!
I was looking at some of my picks for this week’s Roundup, and discovered that I’ve got an awful lot of peach here. And I was quite happy about it.
This is darling. I don’t mind saying so, ’cause it is. It’s made by A Pocket of Posies: a perfectly adorable shop with everything that a girlish heart could desire in the way of jewelry. I think hair combs have such a historical appeal to them, and this one takes the cake.
For years I’ve had this lurking in the back of my mind: I want to make an honest-to-goodness rag rug, I do, I do!
How’s this for an adorable rag rug? The one I have in mind to make someday would be in warm colors– it never occured to me to make it in light, springy, sherbet-ish hues. But by George, A Marigold Life did it. And the result is adorable.
And, going back to roses, wouldn’t this be the perfect accent for your outfit if you wore aforementioned comb with this cute bracelet from Katheyl Jewelery?
These spoons are adorable. In fact, the whole shop, The Loose Goose, is adorable. Don’t you agree? I love stamped metal.
And, just for whimsy’s sake, this cute vase. I would love to have one of these on hand….it would go so well with all sorts of flowers! A formal arrangement like the one pictured here, a bouquet of pretty wildflowers, or even a bunch of ferns from the woods. Lots of possibilities, I think.
This is made by Airth & Olson (I love that name, sounds like an old fashioned general store), and their shop is chock full of cute things!
The shop of the week is Jacaranda Designs: awfully cute and bright floral jewelry!
That’s all for now, folks!
The Handmade Roundup is a weekly post featuring the handiwork and vintage items of Etsy shop owners. Leave a comment with your shop or blog link to be considered for a future feature!

I especially love that hair comb and bracelet! So pretty, and close enough to my favorite color…pink!
I love them, too, Jessica!
And I can’t wear pink (it looks awful on me– *sniff*), but I can wear peach and coral and those types of colors. Good thing I like ‘em.
Oh yes that hair comb is lovely- I do not even know how to pin my hair up!!! But I want to learn. Have you ever been to Rapunzels Resource? I do not have hair as long as hers- but I still want to wear it up. In Christ- and I will be back to comment later!!! Ps- I noticed you added Mia at Aspiring Homemaker to your blog- I love her home and her sewing and her garden don’t you!!!!!
Is your hair short, then, if you don’t put it up? My hair is so long that it doesn’t look good down (even when it is shorter id doesn’t look good, come to think of it…..).
Yes, I’ve been to Rapunzel’s Resource! She’s got some cute styles. I’ve tried a couple of them, but I’m not very good at following tutorials for hair, so they didn’t work too well. Right now I’m working on developing 1940′s styles for my hair…….that’s fun, but kind of hard.
Yes! Mia’s blog is beautiful. I haven’t read it in a while, but came across it again the other day! It is a very homey, lovely blog. I enjoy it.
My hair is longish- I mostly braid it. I just never figured out how to get it to stay up. A funny thing is- every time I wrote a story when I was young I made the heroine have pinned up hair and a pink gingham dress. I love Mia’s blog. It is so homey and
lovely. I have never had short hair, but it has always been braided. All the ladies at our house braid their hair- because of the animal chores we have to do, as you know!!!
Have you ever read Cheryl Mendelson’s book Home Comfort? I have it on my list to give my sister for Christmas- my sister is very good at home making and I think she will enjoy an 800 page book about Home Comfort. I hope it is as good as it sounds. I am not on Pinterest yet, but I do like it. We had a frost last week and all our flowers are finished until next spring. We cut a vase full of zinnias and cosmos- lovely!!!!
I love that book, Faith! I think it has everything you would possibly need to know about keeping house
I borrowed it from our library until one of my sisters got it for me for Christmas, I’m sure your sister will love it
Thank you Jessica! I love your blog, too! I signed up to follow it by email. I am so glad to know it is a good book… Off to make my Christmas order!!!
Aww, thank you Faith! Glad you like it
It is always nice to meet new people!
I love this! It is so wonderful that you have weeded through all the wonderful shops and blogs and highlighted some of your favorites! I cannot stop looking at these!
