A new tradition! In my efforts to make a schedule for blogging and integrating handmade, vintage and creativity, each Saturday will be a song from the early to mid 1900s. (since my favorite era is Western music from the 1930s-40s, most of them will be from that era, if not all!) Sound like fun?

Remember the movie “Sound of Music” and that cute little song “Grandfather’s Clock”? Here’s the Sons of the Pioneers version of that song, recorded in the mid-late 1940s (before the movie was made, of course). The Sons of the Pioneers were a hugely popular Western music group whose apex was in the 1940s.

Happy Swell Song Saturday, friends!
